Latin name : Euterpe oleracea

Exclusive to the Amazon rainforest and widely known for its antioxidant properties, the small acai berry is similar in appearance to a grape and has been used in herbal remedies for many years.

Packed with natural nutrients, processed acai is now consumed either salty or sweet and is most commonly used in drinks, ice-cream, and energy bars.

Fruit fact...

The young acai palm tree is completely fruitless. The tree itself takes four or five years to mature and only then does it start producing fruit.
