Latin name : Vaccinium oxycoccus/ Vaccinium macrocarpon Ait.

Initially grown wild in the northern climates of North America, this bright shiny berry is now extensively commercially cultivated.

Since the early 21st Century the cranberry has been marketed as a superfruit and is primarily used in juices, condiments and jams.
