All About Grapefruit
Latin name : Citrus paradisi
It is thought that the grapefruit originated as a naturally occurring hybrid of the sweet orange and the Indonesian pomelo in the West Indies.
Known for its bitter taste the grapefruit only became popular in the late 19th century and is now often eaten in its raw form at breakfast or drunk processed as a brightly coloured juice.
