All About Guava
Latin name : Psidium guajava L.
The guava is a tropical sweet tasting fruit which is native to Mexico, Central America and Northern and Southern America. Cultivated in many tropical and subtropical countries the guava flourishes in temperate conditions.
Primarily used in preserves, jams and sauces the guava is used in cuisine around the world. High levels of pectin mean that guavas are extensively utilised to create confectionary and sweet marmalades.

The colour of Guava's skin ranges in colour from yellow to black and the flesh of the guava range from a deep red to a pale yellow.
