Native to China the kiwifruit, more commonly known as the kiwi or Chinese gooseberry, is the edible fruit of the woody vine Actinidia Deliciosa.

Introduced to the West at the beginning of the 20th Century, thekiwi is a fleshy fruit with a unique taste. This distinguished taste means that it is most commonly used processed in desserts and fruit juice blends.
