All About Lychee
Latin name : Litchi chinensis
The lychee is native to South East Asia and China. The subtropical tree is now extensively cultivated for its fleshy fruit which is high in vitamin C.
Due to the sweet nature of the fruit, the lychee is often used as an ingredient in ice-cream and other sweet desserts.

The lychee changes colour when dried, the flesh and shell turn dark brown and its appearance begins to resemble a nut.
