All About Papaya

The papaya is native to the tropics of America and was first cultivated in Mexico. Desired for its exotic and unique taste the papaya is now grown and cultivated in most tropical countries around the world. Papaya’s can be eaten raw or cooked. Ripe papaya is best eaten fresh, whereas slightly green fruit is most commonly eaten within a stew or curry.

Within 18 months, the papaya tree grows from seed to a 20 foot fruit bearing tree.
