All About Strawberry
Latin name Fregaria vesca L.
A member of the rose family, the sweet and aromatic strawberry is eaten all over the world.
Although popular, it was not cultivated until the turn of the 13th Century. As a favourite summertime flavour the strawberry is now shipped all over the world. Processed strawberries are now most commonly manufactured into preserves, jams and jellies.
