The system pasteurises the juice and fills it into pre-sterilised bags after first cleaning the connection with steam. The bag is then sealed to provide a microbiologically stable, commercially sterile pack.
This allows products that would traditionally require frozen storage to be held at ambient or chilled temperatures, making it easier to store, handle and transport, and ensuring the contents are always ready to use without needing to defrost first. We are also able to offer special tap fitments with many of our packs which allow an opened shelf life of up to 21 days, which compares favourably with the three to five days that is typical for fruit juices. This can significantly assist with minimising waste in catering, hospitality and manufacturing operations where stock turnover can be unpredictable.
